Kvikkjokk is located deep within the Lapland mountain world, at the end of the road. Those who seek the beauty of nature should visit Kvikkjokk. Adjacent to Kvikkjokk are the two large national parks, Padjelanta and Sarek, which together with Stora Sjöfallet form the World Heritage Site Laponia, established by UNESCO in 1995.

We offer 60 beds in single- to multi-bed rooms across two buildings. The timbered building from 1928 features cozy rooms and common areas with views of the Sarek mountains. In addition to the restaurant, we offer a café, a bar, and a small shop.

Kvikkjokk is a small village, and it is 12 miles to Jokkmokk, the nearest town. Our guests seek nature experiences, and many embark on longer or shorter hikes.

We are looking for a chef who wants to work with us during the summer season, which runs from mid-June to early October 2026.

Your main responsibilities will be managing the café and lunch menus, the evening à la carte menu, and planning staff meals together with the team.

We are looking for someone who is cheerful, positive, and service-oriented, and who enjoys working across departmental boundaries. You should be meticulous, organized, and engaged, with a great passion for food and drink, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. We value if you have a special interest in vegetarian cooking.

Our kitchen is highly appreciated by our guests and is of great importance to the facility. We serve a simple café and snack menu from 11:00–16:00, a daily menu from 12:00–14:00, and an à la carte menu from 18:00–20:00. We work extensively with game meat and mountain fish. We are a small team that supports each other.

Working at a mountain station means that staff live, eat, and work together for a few months. Accommodation is included, and meals are deducted during the employment period.

We operate under a collective agreement between HRF and VISITA.
